About Me

Hello, my name is Jack Kennedy and I am currently a junior.  I am from Buffalo, New York and major in English.  My interest in environmental politics stems from the semester I just spent in New Zealand (photo above was taken right before I did New Zealand’s highest bungee jump).  Compared to America, namely Niagara Falls which is a 10-minute drive from my house, New Zealand seems to do a much better job of preserving their environment and natural landmarks.  One day, I hope to see America do a much better job of maintaining and preserving our precious natural landmarks and resources.  In addition, I went scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef whilst down under.  The Great Barrier Reef is one of many examples of environments being destroyed by climate change and pollution, and it would sadden me if this beautiful and unique environment were to no longer exist.  With the increasing emphasis on the environment, climate change, and going “green”, environmental politics will continue to be a relevant part of everyday life.
