Morgan Oestereich is a freshman at Davidson College, and is from Apex, North Carolina. She plans on majoring in Biology and Environmental Studies. Her interest in environmental politics stems from her love for environmental science and her commitment to social equality. She hopes to pursue a scientific career that contributes to environmental justice, with her developing knowledge in the field of environmental politics aiding in this future. She believes an understanding of past environmental policy and injustices will allow her to better pursue paths that would encourage equity and conservation.
